THANK YOU For Making The 24th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference A Success! 

Held Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 8 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., the 24th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference was hosted by the Exchange Club Family Center of Northeast Florida. There were more than 200 people in attendance.

The topic, Healthy Minds, Healthy Families – Mental Health and Child Abuse Prevention, focused on the connection between Mental Health Issues and Child Abuse. Our Keynote Speaker was Denise Marzullo, MBA, LMHC, President & CEO of Mental Health America of Northeast Florida and our Honorary Chair was Sheriff Mike Williams of Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.  Attendees of the conference earned CEU's.

A Special Congratulations to our 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award winners, Chandara Arvingar of Florida Department of Children & Families and Terri Foreman of Operation New Hope. Congratulations to our five Award of Excellence winners, Carlos Cruz (Family Support Services), Christine Cooler (Daniel Kids), Alexis James (Jewish Family and Community Services), Eileen McGrath (Florida Department of Children & Families) , and Ronnie Cage (Operation New Hope).

Denise

Denise Marzullo, LMHC, MBA

Denise is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over eighteen years of experience working in nonprofit mental health organizations in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s
Degree from Clemson University, a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Saint Leo University and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. Denise was named the Executive Director of Mental Health America of Northeast Florida in February 2010. She is also a professor with Barry University and serves on the St. Johns County Health and Human Services Advisory Council for the Board of County Commissioners.
